Information protected by Law is not OSINT and to procure such data is illegal. Public domain information which is gleaned from official sources might be useable.

Historically the traditional method of on-site ‘surveillance’ has been one of the chosen routes of assembling useable evidence, however there are other equally, if not more effective, methods available. In the 21st Century OSINT is becoming the preferred course of carrying out legal support investigations. This modernistic method of gathering information can be used to collate evidence in Civil and Criminal cases, and such research is an excellent tool instead of physical surveillance which can be both protracted and expensive, as well as sometimes proving fruitless. We at Euro-Tec do offer a surveillance service, but we do strongly recommend that initially activities of an individual should be investigated by way of OSINT.
